I'm New

Your First Visit

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a challenging experience, but our hope is that your first visit to Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church, we hope that your first visit at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church will be a blessing to you. We want you feel welcome and at home. Here are a few answers to questions that you may have prior to your first visit.

How will we know where to go?
Our greeters are located in the lobby as you enter the door and will gladly help you find the right classroom, nursery, or service for everyone in your family.
What's available for children?
Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for each child at every age. At each service we have safe, clean nurseries for children two years old and under. For older children, we have fun and age-appropriate classes during the morning worship service and we have AWANA club on Wednesday nights during the school year. Alternately, If you would prefer to keep your children with you in the adult services, you are more than welcome.
What does Sunday morning look like?
The Adult Sunday School classes start at 9:30am. Here, the teachers present a more in-depth look at the Word of God and Biblically-relevant topics than what is normally taught in the main service. The main worship service starts at 10:30am. We would encourage you to arrive early so that we could help direct your family to the right classes, nursery, or service. During the Sunday morning worship service, we sing traditional worship songs to our Savior and we often have special music sung by our choir, ensembles, or soloists. The music is always followed by clear, helpful, Bible-based preaching. The service is typically a little over an hour in length.
Are there services at other times?
Absolutely. We have a Sunday evening service that begins at 6:00 pm. Like the morning service, we sing traditional hymns and have a challenging and helpful message from Pastor Young. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm for a mid-week Bible study and prayer meeting. Wednesday Evening service also includes the AWANA club for children. Children involved in AWANA are recommended to be here at 6:30 p.m. to allow for the full program. If you can't be our guest on Sunday morning, then we hope you'll visit with us during one of these other service times.

Am I expected to give in the offering?
No. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
